Where can I find copies of student publications, such as Quips and Cranks and The Davidsonian?

Print copies of various student publications, including Quips and Cranks (student annual), The Davidsonian (student newspaper) and literary magazines, can be found in multiple locations in the library:

  • In the library lobby on the first floor (Browsing collection of Quips and Cranks)
  • On the second floor in the Davidsoniana Room (Various publications)
  • On the second floor in Archives and Special Collections (Various publications)

Materials can be found by searching the Library Catalog, featured here on E.H. Little Library’s home page. Materials in the library lobby and the Davidsoniana Room are available for browsing during the library’s regular operational hours and are not available for check out. Materials located in Archives and Special Collections are viewable by appointment-only. To make an appointment, please email archives@davidson.edu.

If you are looking for a specific student publication that is not listed in the catalog, please email archives@davidson.edu for assistance as we may have a copy in our institutional records. Additionally, digitized copies of The Davidsonian and Quips and Cranks can be found linked on our “Digital Collections” research guide.
