Who was E.H. Little and what was his connection to Davidson College?
Edward Herman Little was a Mecklenburg County native and President and Chairman of the Board of the Colgate-Palmolive Company. Little’s brother, Charles attended Davidson College (Class of 1896). In 1973, E.H. Little donated one million dollars to Davidson for the construction of a new library. Thanks to his generous donation, E.H. Little Library was built and opened in 1974.
