I've been asked to cite in style that is not covered on the Citation Manuals & Guides page of this guide. How do I figure out how to format my citations?

While several of the most common citation styles are listed on our Citation Styles & Manuals page, there are many more out there in the world. Sometimes individual journals will have their own citation style, so if you have been asked to write your references in the style of X journal, look up the journal website. Instructions and examples of the required citation style may be are posted on an "information for authors" page. Another option is to use the citation manager Zotero, through which you can download thousands of different citation styles.
